Air France-KLM revenue drop
December 8, 2015The murder spree in Paris on Nov. 13 have significantly impacted overall air traffic to and from the French capital, Air France-KLM said Tuesday.
"The negative impact of the Paris attacks on total November revenues is estimated to be around 50 million euros ($54 million)," the airline said in its monthly traffic update.
"Current booking trends are in line with a progressive recovery, including a very limited impact on volume after the end of December 2015," it said in a statement.
Airlines weren't the only businesses affected by the attacks. Fewer people have gone shopping or booked hotel rooms in the days and weeks since Nov. 13, although things are slowly returning to normal.
Tourism accounts for some 7 percent of gross domestic product in France, the world's top tourist destination. There had been massive fears in the country that the terror attacks could weaken the nation's already anemic growth.
