Andreas Kluth is editor in chief for Handelsblatt Global. He says: “China’s time horizon is much longer than Donald Trump’s. On that Chinese scale, China is certainly a rising power, while America is stagnating or already declining. That is not a good thing.”

Shi Ming is a freelance journalist from China. He says: “Whether China will become the next superpower depends how other parts of the world position themselves - for example, Europe.”
