Anger Mounts in Afghanistan as More Civilians Die

19.03.08March 19, 2008

An operation by US-led forces in Afghanistan left six civilians dead on Wednesday. According to local sources, two children, a woman and three men -- all members of the same family -- were killed in the eastern province of Khost. But the US-led forces have only confirmed two civilian deaths, as well as the deaths of several rebels. The incident, which resembles scores of others in the recent past, has sparked huge public anger.
