Apple storms streaming

Just in case anyone missed it, the launch of Apple Music has proven that streaming is indeed the future of recorded music consumption. But this form of listening is still hotly debated among musicians.

With its 75 million users, Spotify is the current market leader among streaming services. But with its launch on June 30th, Apple Music has thoroughly shaken up the business through the brute force of its market penetration. Music makers are still skeptical of streaming. Revenues from it are tiny compared with earnings from downloads or CD sales.
