Constanze TressOctober 12, 2008

The children and grandchildren of Turks who first arrived in Germany as what were then called guest workers have greatly changed the German artistic scene. With startling and challenging films and books, the young Turkish Germans are becoming a calling card for Germany. ARTS.21 asks award-winning filmmaker Fatih Akin, writer Feridun Zaimoglu, and journalist and author Asli Sevindim what they think about their home in Germany, about Turkey, and about their own identities.
