Six asylum seekers in the town of Potsdam near Berlin were verbally abused and then attacked by a group of allegedly drunk persons on Saturday. One 31-year-old asylum seeker from Cameroon was injured and had to be hospitalized. Police said Monday that the assailants targeted the group of asylum seekers who were waiting at a bus stop, using xenophobic language. They then followed the asylum seekers back to their home and badly beat up the Cameroon national. The attackers, aged 19 to 33 and including a woman, were later caught by the police after they fled in a bus. Breath tests showed that most of them were intoxicated.
