Divided between Lithuania and Russia, Curonian Spit is a 98-kilometer peninsula that separates the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. Its endless dunes have inspired writers such as Thomas Mann other Germans, since before 1945, part of the spit belonged to Germany. The magical quality of the landscape continues to enchant visitors.
