Oliver Kahn, goalkeeper for Bayern Munich and Germany’s national soccer team, has said he would retire when he thought he was no longer in top form. Responding to criticism over his recent mediocre play, Kahn told Kicker magazine he was no longer being judged objectively since it was revealed he was having an affair with a barmaid while his wife was pregnant. “I’ll take one percent of the criticism seriously, but not the other 99 percent because it’s from people who have no clue what goalkeeping is about,” Kahn, who is captain for both Bayern and the national squad, said. Kahn’s fierce goalkeeping was key in getting Germany into last year's World Cup final, but this season with Bayern Munich he has come under fire for conceding 10 goals in six league matches.
