Berlinale Jury Complete

Chinese actress Bai Ling and Italian fashion designer Nino Cerruti will feature in the seven-member jury selecting the Golden Bear award at this year's Berlinale film festival, according to organizers. German movie maker Roland Emmerich, whose films include "Independence Day" and "The Patriot," will chair the jury from Feb. 10 until awards night for what is one of Europe's most prestigious film festivals on Feb. 19. Emmerich got his start in the international world of cinema when his student film "The Noah's Ark Principle" was screened at the Berlinale in 1984. Helping him to choose from among the 21 movies vying for the Golden Bear at the festival's 55th edition will be Bai Ling, the US-based Chinese actress whose credits include roles in "Wild Wild West" and "Anna and the King." The jury will also include Lithuania's Ingeborga Dapkunaite, who played parts in "Mission Impossible" and "Seven Years in Tibet", and Dutch producer Wouter Barendrecht. Other features in the line-up are Germany's Franka Potente, who played alongside Matt Damon in "The Bourne Identity" and its sequel, and Ukraine's renowned screenwriter and cinematographer Andrei Kurkov. Cerruti, the fashion designer and founder of the clothing label of the same name, has made outfits for Harrison Ford, Anita Ekberg and Tom Cruise as well as those worn in Robert Altman's fashion satire "Pret-a-Porter."
