Burundi's ruling CNDD-FDD party has accused Rwandan President Paul Kagame of seeking to "export" genocide to their country as relations between the two neighbors deteriorate further.

The head of the CNDD-FDD party Pascal Nyabenda said in a statement that Kagame had previously "experimented" with genocide, referring to the 1994 Rwandan genocide in which around 800,000 people were killed, mostly ethnic Tutsis.
