Carmen Perez
The woman who strives for fulfillment of civil rights.
Perez is one of the amazing women behind the large demonstration following the inauguration of the current US President, Donald Trump. For the past 20 years, she has been active in advocating specific issues from gender equality, mass incarceration, violence prevention, racial healing to community policing. She has gone all over the world promoting these issues to help build peace though civil and human rights.
Besides being one of the leading ladies of Women’s March---an association that fights for women’s rights as human rights, Perez is also the co-founder of Justice League CA and Justice League NYC, where she has organized a great number of national assemblies and conferences on juvenile and criminal justice.
