Visit Maastricht

August 26, 2013

The Maastricht Treaty was signed here in 1992 that laid the groundwork for the European Union. Located in the south of the Netherlands, the river Meuse splits the city in half. Many of the Maastricht’s massive limestone churches have been converted into hotels and bookstores while still keeping their regal appearances. We also visit nearby caves where stunning prehistoric fossils were found.
