Two former coal miners from near Recklinghausen in the industrial Ruhr region have developed their own soft drink. It's called Ruhrpott Cola, after the area's nickname in German, and their internet site has already attracted customers from as far away as the Canary Islands. Markus Bittscheidt and Maik Wittowski invested all their savings in the project.
