Brazil’s economic capital is ugly, as Brazilian artist Alex Flemming well knows. And São Paulo is plagued by traffic congestion and pollution too. But Alex Flemming was born here, and he’s still a Paulista in heart and soul. To know the city, he says, is to fall under its spell.
