Frank Schaefer took over as coach of Cologne on the 24th of October last year. At the time Cologne were stuck in a crisis. Schaefer has been a part of the Cologne team for 30 years.

Things have changed since he took over. Last week they beat Bayern Munich. Cologne are only in 16th place but the team has picked up 17 points in 12 games. If they keep going like this they will avoid the drop.
