MBA in Media Management, German University in Cairo (2012 - 2014)

Since September 2012 DW Akademie has been cooperating with the German University in Cairo (GUC), Egypt with the "Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Media Management".

The project and realization of the MBA in Media Management in Cairo was the first interdisciplinary media studies program which meets the requirements for a modern education in the field of media and journalism studies. To date, no comparable program exists in the Arab World's media sector that combines media and communication science, media management and economics.

DW Akademie and the GUC also offered academic workshops. These seminars aimed to connect the partner countries and improve their complementary understanding of the partner's media landscape. Participants included lecturers as well doctoral candidates and students from several faculties. The Cairo workshops focused on "The German Media Landscape - Current Situation and Future Perspectives", "Research Trends in Media Management" and "New Technologies and the Media".
