Laser technology is set to "record" 500 artifacts around the world by 2018. These include two German structures – the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin and Regensburg's Stone Bridge. The non-profit NGO CyArk, who will archive the information, was founded in 2003 by laser specialist Ben Kacyra.
