Just in time for Christmas, and shortly after it added fine art to its product line, supermarket chain Aldi has started selling the Bible. From Wednesday bargain hunters can pick up red artificial leather-bound editions of the 1,300 page work for €11.99 ($14.27) at northern German locations of the store. They won't be getting much of a bargain though: The German Bible Society sells a cheaper version for a mere €8.
