On Jan. 1, 2006, Uta Thofern took over as DW-WORLD.DE's Editor-in-Chief. She was previously head DW-RADIO's English and German service as well as the Europe programme and EU projects.
Uta Thofern
Thofern (born 1963) was previously at Mitteldeutschen Rundfunk (MDR) where she served as deputy director of MDR Aktuell. Prior to that, she was in the news department of MDR 1, Radio Thüringen.
She also worked at RIAS in Berlin and RTL in Luxembourg.
