We visit Edinburgh against the backdrop of its famous festival. What's touted as the world's greatest arts festival runs until 30 August. This year there are almost 2,500 shows running over four weeks. Ticket sales this year may near the 2 million mark. During the festival the city of half a million residents attracts hundreds of thousands of extra visitors from all over the world.
