Located in South East England, Oxford has been made prominent by its medieval university, the oldest in the English-speaking world. It is also known as the "city of dreaming spires" in reference to the harmonious architecture of Oxford's university campus buildings that represent every British architectural period. Nowadays, it is a bustling cosmopolitan town that also boasts a growing hi-tech community. Its mix of old and modern thus offers plenty for everyone.
