Simon Tofield’s cartoons about his cat became an internet hit and were later published in book form.

Beer Boom in Italy
More and more small breweries are popping up in Italy, the land of wine. Italy doesn’t have the rich beer tradition of a country like Germany but that allows it to be quite bold. Their "birrifici artigiianali" microbreweries have come up with some rather exotic flavours, including chestnut, cherry and pumpkin.

Conductor Harke de Roos and the Beethoven Beat
Dutch conductor Harke de Roos claims to have found the right tempi for many of Beethoven’s works. De Roos thinks that misleading metronome indications have led to the works being played too fast for the past 200 years. He has reinterpreted Beethoven's Second Symphony with the Vienna Symphony and says his new production is closer to the the way Beethoven would have had it played back in 1803.

Winter 2010 - Fake Fur
Fake fur is nowadays so realistic even Karl Lagerfeld says it is hard to distinguish from the real thing. It took center stage in the German designer's most recent Chanel fall/winter collection. Fur plays a big role in this year's winter fashions and much of it can be worn with a clear conscience because it’s fake.
