UEFA knock-out stage draws

The 2012-13 Champions League Round of 16 and the Europa League Round of 32 draws have taken place in Switzerland. The matchups include homecomings for Germany strikers Lukas Podolski and Miroslav Klose.

Dortmund hosts Real Madrid

A big night for German clubs in Europe: Schalke has travelled to London to face Arsenal, while back in Germany Dortmund is taking on nine-time winners Real Madrid. It promises to be a great spectacle, and Jürgen Klopp's men welcome back some important players for the encounter.

Ten-man Bayern blow past BATE

Bayern Munich were reduced to 10 men in their match against BATE Borisov, but that did not slow the German side. Meanwhile, titleholders Chelsea were knocked out in the final round of the Champions League Group Stage.

Champions League suspense

Following a humiliating defeat at the hands of Belarus underdog BATE, Bayern Munich is feeling the heat ahead of their match against Lille. But things will be even tougher for the other German clubs.

Stuttgart needed help to advance into the Europa League knockout stage, while Borussia Mönchengladbach breezed past Fenerbahce. Hannover thought they had a win against Levante, but late drama changed their plans.
