Jerusalem - Three Religions, Three Families

https://p.dw.com/p/1EjRS

The Old City of Jerusalem covers less than one square kilometer and is home to Jews, Christians and Muslims. The political tensions dividing Israel and the Palestinians are felt acutely here. How do the Old City’s residents deal with this stress? We put that question to three families and to three clerics representing the three ‘world religions.’

And we visited Neve Shalom/Wahat Al Salam, a village that lies between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, an ‘oasis of peace,’ where Jews, Christians and Muslims live together. Our report gives an insight into the personal lives of just a few people: their fears, anxieties and hopes. But it shows how religious and political issues are inextricably connected in this land and that reconciliation between the three groups is tremendously difficult.
