The man who made front-page headlines last year for drawing social welfare pay while living it up in a beach-side apartment in Florida has returned home. Rolf John, 65, otherwise known as "Florida Rolf," moved back to Germany and reported at the office for social services in Frankfurt, where he hopes to again receive welfare benefits. A city spokesperson said the pensioner "will not be receiving special treatment." When John's case first hit the press it sent off a wave of indignation through the country and triggered a quick change in the country's welfare laws, which had opened a loophole for people to abuse the system by drawing generous benefits while living overseas.
