German Cup: BVB host Hertha, Bayern vs. Wolfsburg in last 16

Hertha Berlin face Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 in a repeat of last season's German Cup semifinal. Fürth were rewarded for their surprise win over Mainz with a home tie against Gladbach while Bayern face Wolfsburg.

Dortmund struggled to overcome Hertha's city rivals Union Berlin on Wednesday but beat Hertha 3-0 in the Olympic Stadium in the last four of last year's tournament. The third-round game is to be played in Dortmund.

Despite only nine Bundesliga sides remaining in the competition after several upsets, there are three fixtures that feature two top-tier sides. The others are holders Bayern Munich at home to Wolfsburg and bottom club Hamburg hosting Cologne.

Third-division team Sportfreunde Lotte, who pulled off an astonishing victory over Bayer Leverkusenmight have hoped for a more lucrative draw than 1860 Munich away but will fancy their chances against the Bavarians.

Fellow giant killers Sandhausen and Greuther Fürth both host sides competing in Europe in the shape of Schalke and Borussia Mönchengladbach respectively, while FC Astoria Walldorf, who saw off Darmstadt, play Arminia Bielefeld.

Elsewhere, Hannover will face a Bundesliga side for the first time since relegation last season when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt.
