German cyclists injured in Spain

Members of the German cycling team Giant-Alpecin were run down by a car on Saturday while training in Spain, although no one was fatally hurt.
Warren Barguil, Chad Haga, Fredrik Ludvigsson, Ramon Sinkeldam and Max Walscheid were also among those injured.
Degenkolb, who won the 2015 Milan-San Remo and the 2015 Paris-Roubaix, had reportedly undergone surgery for a wounded leg and forearm. "Given the circumstances, I am fine," he posted on his Facebook page.
'Lucky to be alive'
The mother of Haga, an American, also took to Facebook to update the public. "The doctor said it was a very bad crash and he will be sore for weeks," she wrote.
Team Giant-Alpecin, meanwhile, thanked fans for their continued support.
The driver of the car was an Englishwoman driving on the wrong side of the road, Spanish authorities said.
In 2012, Spanish cyclist Victor Cabedo was run over by a car and killed while training near Valencia, the AFP news agency reported.
