Though German car exports may be on the rise, German exports, in general, continue to suffer as a result of the weak world economy and the strong Euro. According to figures released by Germany's Federal Statistic Office on Monday, exports for the month of June are down 4.1 percent compared to the same time last year. More than half of the decline, 2.5 percent, took place in one month alone (from May to June) as exports valuing more €54 million remained parked in German warehouses. Exports to other European Union countries were particularly hard hit, declining by 5.5 percent compared to June of last year.
