Prices of goods imported into Germany rose by 3.3 percent on a 12-month basis in April, slower than in previous months, but still high as a result of surging oil and raw materials prices, new data showed on Friday. The German import price index had already risen by 3.8 percent year-on-year in March and 3.7 percent in February. Excluding oil, the index would have risen by just 0.4 percent in April, the statisticians calculated.
