German Industry: Rising Euro Bad for Exports

The Federation of German Industries (BDI) on Friday warned of negative consequences for the economy that a continued increase in the value of the euro could bring. "If the euro continues to climb, it will increase pressure on German exports through higher prices," said BDI currency expert Reinhard Kudiss in an interview with the Berliner Zeitung newspaper. "It will lead German companies to lose market share."
