The body of a German embassy security officer has been found, the Foreign Ministry reported on Saturday. The man, a member of Germany's elite anti-terror GSG-9 security force, had been missing along with another college in Iraq after their convoy was attacked on the road from Amman, Jordan, to Baghdad on April 7. The German government refrained from issuing details on who found the body and where, but a spokesman for the ministry said the body had been positively identified by German federal agents and would be returned to Germany on Sunday. The foreign ministry had said the two men went missing near the Sunni town of Fallujah, the scene of heavy fighting between U.S. forces and Iraqis in recent weeks.
