Germany's unemployment rate drops sharply in April - a sign of recovery in Europe's biggest economy

New government figures show Germany's unemployment rate declined considerably in April, reflecting an improved economic environment. Thursday's data from Europe's biggest economy indicated the jobless rate for April was 8 point 1 percent, down from 8 point 5 percent in March. In April, 3 Million 406 thousand people were registered as unemployed.
