Gidsy: The Internet Marketplace for Authentic Experience

From graffiti tours to extreme sports courses, German Internet plattform Gidsy gives locals and tourists a chance to get to know cities in novel ways.

Dutch founders Dekker und Phillip Wassibauer came up with the idea behind Gidsy in Berlin. The platform gives users a chance to share their own personal take on a city. It went live in November 2011 and now includes suggestions for exciting and unusual activities in a wide range of cities including Amsterdam and San Francisco.
