Hamburg - 350 Years of the Altona District

A raised portcullis and open gates: even its coat of arms symbolizes the openness that has distinguished Altona for centuries. Under Danish rule, Jews and other minorities found a home here. In the early 1980s, punks shaped the district. Now it’s celebrating its 350th anniversary.
