Heligoland - Seal Watching on an Island

March 8, 2014

In the winter months baby seals are born on the white beaches of the North Sea archipelago of Heligoland. The Jordsand Society observes and counts the animals every day. For tourists, it arranges tours to the seal colonies on the smaller island of Düne, where you can see the marine mammals at close range.
