Golden Lion for John Woo

Hongkong director John Woo was honored with the Golden Lion lifetime achievement award at the Venice Film Festival on Friday. The festival also showcased his new film 'Reign of Assassins'.

During the ceremony, Woo said he enjoyed working in China and Hollywood. He told reporters it was time for him to take the skills he learnt in Hollywood and implement them in China. His famous movies include Hard Target (1993), Broken Arrow (1996), Face/Off (1997) and Mission Impossible II (2000).
