November the ninth is a key date in German history. It was on November 9, 1989, that the Berlin Wall fell. It was also on November the ninth that the monarchy ended in Germany and the Weimar Republic was proclaimed in 1918. And on the night of November 9th, 1938, the Nazis attacked Jewish schools, businesses and synagogues. That date has gone down in history as Kristallnacht.
