Hundreds Missing After Philippines Typhoon

Rescue and relief efforts have intensified in the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Fengshen. The Typhoon which hit the south of the country at the weekend has caused massive destruction and left at least 180 people dead and hundreds missing. A ferry carrying an estimated 800 passengers and crew capsized on Saturday. The 23,000-ton 'Princess of the Stars' went down near the central island of Sibuyan. So far at least 36 people have been found alive. Rescue teams are looking for more survivors.
