Industry experts on Thursday announced they believed automobile-maker Opel lost more than €400 million ($495 million) during 2003, almost twice as much red ink as the previous year, when Opel had a deficit of €227 million. Opel is expected to release official year-end results on Friday in Rüsselsheim near Frankfurt. Previously, Opel CEO Carl-Peter Forster planned to drive the company back into the black in 2003. Analysts also believe the company will report weaker than expected revenues. In 2002, Opel generated €14.9 billion in revenues.
