Ibrahimovich to leave PSG

snMay 13, 2016

Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovich has announced via Twitter that he's departing Paris Saint-Germain. And true to his status as one of football's true characters, the way he did it was anything but low-key.

The Swedish superstar said via social media that he was quitting the French champions after four seasons.

Ibrahimovic arrived in the French capital in 2012 from AC Milan. He won four straight titles with the PSG, scoring 112 goals in 121 league matches. But he was never able to win the Champions League with the team, which is financed by a Qatari sheikh.

It is unclear what the 34-year-old Ibrahimovic's next stop will be. A move to the Premier League has been mooted, as has a return to Milan or an engagement with the Los Angeles Galaxy in the North American MLS. PSG says that when he retires from playing Ibrahimovic will be offered a job in management.
