French-Colombian politician Ingrid Betancourt has been rescued after six years in captivity in what she has described as a "perfect" operation. Betancourt and 14 other captives were rescued by Colombian troops posing as members of the leftist FARC guerilla group, which had been holding the hostages in the jungle.
