Italian police recover stolen artworks

Mary MorrisseyApril 2, 2014

Two paintings by French artists Paul Gauguin and Pierre Bonnard have turned up in Italy years after they were stolen in Britain. Italian police recovered the paintings from a former mechanic in Sicily. The man had bought the works of art, which are worth millions, for less than 25 euros at a legitimate auction in 1975.
