Khmer Rouge Hearing Adjourned

In Cambodia, the pre-trial hearing for former Khmer Rouge leader Khieu Samphan has been adjourned. The 76-year-old Samphan is charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity. He served as the head of state for the Khmer rouge regime from 1976 to 1979. Over a million people are estimated to have died of starvation or execution during the Khmer Rouge’s rule.
