Dutch telecommunications company KPN will start offering business customers in Germany the first services over its new UMTS networks in June 2004, according to a company statement. German customers of KPN subsidiary E-Plus will be the first to benefit from high-speed mobile access to Internet. By the end of 2004, E-Plus plans UMTS network coverage in 300 towns and cities in Germany, including all cities with more than 300,000 inhabitants. The service will be expanded to business customers in the Netherlands in July, followed by the introduction of UMTS services for the Belgian market later in the year.
