Less Money for Lazy Federal Workers?

The chairman of the association for federal employees in Germany has called for workers to be paid according to their performance. Such a system would increase the motivation of state employees, Peter Heesen told the Berliner Zeitung newspaper. "We need more ways to intervene with lazy workers," Heesen said. Workers who are not performing well could face demotions under Hessen's vision.
