Bernd Leno is the new face in the Germany squad to face Ireland and Georgia in their final two Euro 2016 qualifiers. Germany require just one more point to clinch a berth in the tournament in France next summer.

Germany head coach Joachim Löw has called a new face up to his national team squad ahead of the final qualifying matches for Euro 2016, the country's FA (DFB) announced via Twitter on Friday. Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno, 23, is the only new face in the 23-man team.

With no new injury concerns following the wins against Poland and Scotland last month, Leno's call-up (instead of Hannover's Ron-Robert Zieler) is the only change in Löw's squad. Schalke's Ralf Fährmann may be disappointed at missing out, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen of Barcelona preferred as the other back-up to Manuel Neuer alongside Leno.

"Bernd [Leno] has earned this nomination through consistent good work at Bayer Leverkusen and just like Marc-Andre ter Stegen, we have been watching him for some time," said Germany goalkeeping coach Andreas Köpke.

The squad in full:

Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona), Bernd Leno (Bayer Leverkusen)

Defenders: Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich), Emre Can (Liverpool), Matthias Ginter (Borussia Dortmund), Jonas Hector (Cologne), Mats Hummels (Borussia Dortmund), Shkodran Mustafi (Valencia), Sebastian Rudy (Hoffenheim)

Midfielders/Attackers: Karim Bellarabi (Bayer Leverkusen), Mario Götze (Bayern Munich), Ilkay Gündogan (Borussia Dortmund), Christoph Kramer (Bayer Leverkusen), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid), Max Kruse (Wolfsburg), Thomas Müller (Bayern Munich), Mesut Özil (Arsenal), Lukas Podolski (Galatasaray), Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund), Andre Schürrle (Wolfsburg), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Manchester United), Kevin Volland (Hoffenheim)
