Life in Afghanistan

After 20 years of war, Afghanistan is seeking to restore a semblence of normal life. A new series by Deutsche Welle reporters Sandra Petersmann and Karen Fischer explores the country, from Kabul to Kunduz, documenting the new struggles, the daily fight for survival, the joy of Afghan children who are finally back in school and the fate of former refugees who have returned to their homeland. The series also provides a progress report on the state of reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan.
