He says: "Merkel may have finally realized that the Trump administration is a not reliable partner for Germany and Europe at the moment – probably even an adversary. But she will certainly be able to differentiate between the Trump administration and the United States because in the longer term, the United States will be interested in remaining a reliable partner.
