Women's paradise

The Bavarian metropolis Munich is the best place in Germany to be a woman, according to a study by the newly-launched German version of the lifestyle magazine 'Women's Health'.
The study, set to be released on Wednesday, ranked Munich higher than the other 29 German cities included in all of the five categories: fitness, health, quality of life, relationships and job opportunities.
Munich Mayor Christian Ude said the results didn't surprise him. The magazine quoted him as saying the city has "the largest selection of day care centers in Bavaria, community schools with full-day programs, the highest portion of women in leadership in the city government and the biggest offering of part-time jobs in of all local governments."
'Women's Health' considered nearly 1,000 facts in comparing Germany's 30 largest cities, including environmental damage, health indicators, cost of living and crime rates.
Germany's capital and largest city, Berlin, ranked relatively low in the study in 21st place. The financial capital, Frankfurt, came in fifth and the second-largest city, Hamburg, ranked eigth.
