Virtual Tourist is an Internet Website that allows tourists to share their travel tips. It was founded by two German students in the city of Karlsruhe. To celebrate its anniversary over 150 members traveled to Karlsruhe from where they took a tour of Germany. We joined Heather Belen, a member of the Virtual Tourist community for 3 years, on a trip to Speyer, where we recorded her impressions of the city.

According to its logo, the internet site Virtual Tourist offers 'real info' to 'real travellers'. Founded in 1999, its objective was to bring people together to share their travel experiences, regardless of where they were in the world. Recently 150 members converged in Karlsruhe and from there set out to discover Germany. We spent a day in Speyer with one of them: Heather Belen.
